On300 cornerback Victor Singleton set to camp at Ohio State next month
TOLEDO — Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic On300 cornerback Victor Singleton is one of the top 2026 prospects in the state of Ohio and he will camp in Columbus on June 5 with the chance of earning a scholarship offer from Ohio State.
However, all Singleton wants to prove at the camp is that he can compete against the top prospects in the country. Regardless, of their star ranking, size and even age.
“You know, prove that I can go to get the best,” Singleton said to Lettermen Row about what he hopes to prove at Ohio State’s camp. “I’m only a 2026 so I’m trying to go up against older guys like seniors and stuff, the 2025s. So go against those guys.”
Singleton admitted to Lettermen Row that it would be a blessing to be offered by the Buckeyes but he is more focused on building a better relationship with the coaching staff and becoming a better player.
“Yes, it’d be a blessing to get that. Just keep going and trying to build relationships with them. Gotta work, keep working harder and one day I gotta get the offer.”
Ohio State cornerbacks coach Tim Walton has been in contact with Singleton and the two are starting to grow their relationship.
“Trying to keep extending it more. Just working.”
Victor Singleton has also built a close bond with defensive backs assistant Gerren DuHart, who is a Central Catholic alum. The two have a lot in common having grown up in the same city, which has allowed Singleton to trust DuHart even more.
“I can ask him anything I need, like questions on how the school is and stuff like that. He will give me feedback.”
The 6-foot and 160-pound Singleton is the No. 149 overall prospect and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Ohio in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Singleton also earned an invite to the Under Armour Future 50 after a stellar camp performance at the Under Armour Next Camp in Canton last month.
