Top LSU targets to know at Adidas 3SSB in Bryan, Texas

The summer AAU circuit is in full swing now and LSU continues to lock in on its top targets in the 2025 class across the country. A couple weeks ago, I wrote about the players LSU was watching at the Nike EYBL circuit and now we get to see more of the top player sin the nation at the Adidas 3SSB event in Bryan, Texas. LSU coaches will be in attendance getting a look at these players in person as the summer evaluations continue.
Here’s a run down of the names to know and who I’ll be keeping tabs on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned for reports after the games and quotes from the players about their thoughts on LSU and recruitment.
John Clark – TJ Ford
From Houston, Clark is not on the main Adidas circuit, but the second “Gold” division playing for TJ Ford’s team. Last year, I watched Robert Miller play in this same setting alongside LSU assistant coaches and the Tigers were able to get Miller committed. Now, they’ll look to repeat that success with Ford’s program in the 2025 class with another high-level player.
Clark is the No. 40 player in the country according to the On3 Industry Rankings and the N0. 4 player in Texas. Houston, Texas A&M, Texas, and Tennessee have all offered as well. I’ll be watching his game at 3:30 on Saturday.
Nate Ament – Team Loaded VA

The No. 15 player in the country on the On3 Industry Rankings, Ament plays on one of the best teams in the circuit as Team Loaded VA is 9-0 this summer. Out of Manassas, Virginia, Ament has received offers from Duke, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and a host of other east coast programs.
Ament and his team play at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday.
Kaden Magwood – Team Loaded VA
The No. 97 player in the nation and currently enrolled at Oak Hill Academy, Magwood has been excellent to start off the circuit season for Team Loaded VA. In Birmingham a few weeks ago, Magwood averaged 21.4 points per game and was one of the top scorers in the circuit. He has offers from Xavier, Illinois, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Kentucky, and others.
Mikel Brown – Team Loaded NC

The Circuit Hoops named Brown as the MVP of the Birmingham session two weeks ago which lines up with him being one of the best point guards in the country. Brown is ranked as the No. 14 player in the nation out of Orlando, Florida and has received heavy interest from Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, Texas, Providence and others.
I’ll be able to watch Brown at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday.
Brandon Bass Jr. (2026) – Austin Rivers SE Elite
The lone 2026 name here, LSU fans know his father and the career he had at LSU as a Baton Rouge native. Now, LSU is recruiting his son early as the No. 35 player in the 2026 class. UCF and LSU are the top two on On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, but there’s a long way to go. Bass currently lives in Windermere, Florida.
I’ll be watching Bass and his team at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Niko Bundalo – Wildcat Select
The No. 23 player in the nation out of Uniontown, Ohio, Niko Bundalo has the attention of the entire country, including LSU. As the No. 23 player in the country, the 6-foot-9 forward is beginning to set visits and LSU will hope to get in the conversation.
I’ll be watching Bundalo at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Preston Copeland – Garner Road Basketball Club
A sleeper in this class, Copeland is a 6-foot-7 forward out of Raleigh, North Carolina and rated as a three-star prospect on On3. Nebraska and Charleston have offered so far and we’ll see if LSU likes what they see this weekend.
I’m watching Copeland on Sunday morning.
