Volquest podcast: Who are you buying stock in this off-season?
The Tennessee football team is heading into a two week break before returning to campus to start their summer workout program which means it’s a perfect time to talk about expectations and the keys to the summer for Josh Heupel’s third team.
So who would are you busying stock in this summer on offense and defense?
Football recruiting is rolling right along with continued evaluations and preparations for official and unofficial visit weekends. Could the Vols be getting news later this week? What about later this month?
Julian Phillips is in the transfer portal which is no surprise as he continues to move on. Is that the move all early entrants into the NBA draft should make? As for the current Vols where’s Zakai Zeigler in his rehab and what concerns are there with him this fall/winter?
Brent Hubbs, Austin Price, Rob Lewis and Grant Ramey discuss it all on this week’s edition of the Volquest Podcast. It’s presented by Exterior Home Solutions. For a free estimate, give them a call at 865-524-5888.
Quote of the Pod
Austin Price on who he’s buying defensive stock in….
“It’s a flyer stock. We will see where it goes, but I’m buying stock in Kamal Hadden because I think a lot of people thought he would not be here. Then he kind of put his head down this spring and went to work. He’s done all the right things since the season ended. Is that just because he knew there was a possibility that he wouldn’t be asked to be back. He’s not been that same chirpy person we saw against South Carolina when you are down 25 and you are still talking after giving up a completion for 12 yards. He’s been somewhat better. Does that mean he’s perfect? I wouldn’t say that, but he seems like he’s turned the corner and he had a good spring. So I’m going to take a flyer stock with Kamal Hadden.”
