Elite Georgia WR Set for May 31 USC Official Visit
Four-Star Milton (GA) Wide Receiver CJ Wiley is a major outlier in the On300 rankings, as he checks in at No. 43 overall — compared to No. 156 in the On3 Industry Rankings.
He took his official visit to Auburn on April 6, and while in-state Georgia is currently trending heavily for his pledge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Wiley plans to take to take official visits to USC (May 31), Alabama (June 7), Florida St. (June 14) and Georgia (June 21) before making a school choice.
Wiley hasn’t been someone we’ve spent much time talking about, but USC started pursuing heavily the last few months. USC coaches stopped by Milton in January and again this month. He shared a few reasons why he’s set the official visit to Los Angeles.

The chances of signing a top shelf wide receiver are extremely low after only one visit, but as they say, “There’s a reason they play the games.” Getting Wiley on campus next month, with his L.A. Lakers and L.A. Dodgers fan and former NFL DL father Chuck Wiley, gives USC a chance….even if it’s currently a very slim chance.
“I just wanna meet some of the coaches, ask the guys how the coaches are,” said Wiley. “I decided to visit mostly because of the relationship with the Coach (Simmons). We have a good relationship and they are a pass-first team. So for me as a receiver, that’s a good thing.”
At wide receiver CJ Wiley (No. 43) and Vernell Brown III (No. 46) make the move into the top 50.
Wiley has some of the best physical traits at the position at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds and recently posted a 10.91 second mark in the 100 meters. He had a phenomenal junior season for Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, hauling in 68 passes for 1,473 yards and 14 touchdowns. The combination of size and speed are highly projectable as an outside wide receiver. Wiley has an official visit to Alabama scheduled and Georgia has received On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine picks from Jeremy Johnson and EJ Holland.”
Decision timeline
Wiley said he doesn’t have a specific date set for announcing a c commitment, but a school choice will be made at some point not long after his official visits are taken. Obviously plans can change, but that’s the current situation.
