Wake Forest claps back at Clemson over deleted ‘crowding the plate’ tweet following Sunday win

When it comes to social media in college athletics, teams are no strangers to trolling each other regularly. It’s been something that’s been widely accepted as fun for quite some time. On Sunday after the Wake Forest Demon Deacons defeated the Clemson Tigers in baseball, they didn’t hesitate to clap back at the Clemson social media team.

Here’s a screen shot of the deleted tweet from the Clemson social media team in the eighth inning.

Following the big win, the WFU social media team did not hesitate to fire back about the Tigers’ griping about their batters “crowding the plate”. Wake’s social media team chose the headline, “CROWDED THE WIN COLUMN,” with a broom beside it for the sweep.
