Counting down the top 10 prospects in the latest 2025 On300 rankings
Following a spring full of 7-on-7 events, the high school track season and numerous, On3 has released its latest 2025 football recruiting rankings, the On300.
The initial 2025 On300 was released at the end of March and while several players remain where they were initially ranked, several more have either taken strides ahead or fallen back a few spots. That includes a new five-star and another recruit who made his way into the top-10.
With the update, there are now 6 five-stars in the cycle, which will ultimately end with 32 players receiving that status to match the number of first-round selections in the NFL Draft.
Ahead of the full rankings release, we are counting down the top 10 prospects in the latest 2025 On300.
5. 5-star DL Armondo Blount
School: Miami (Fla.) Miami Central
On3 RPM: Florida 34.3%, Miami 22.7%, Florida Stat 6.9%, Alabama 5.8%, Ohio State 5.8%, Akron 5.8%, Notre Dame 5.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $185K
Scouting Summary: “Versatile, athletic defensive lineman who is capable of creating disruption from any spot on the defensive front. Looks like one of the more physically-gifted defenders early on in the 2025 cycle. Measured in at close to 6-foot-3.5, 250 pounds with a wing-span around 6-foot-9 and a 10-inch hand at Under Armour’s Miami camp prior to his junior season. Tests as an outstanding athlete, running an electronically-timed 4.78-second 40-yard dash, along with an impressive 30-inch vertical and 9’7″ broad jump. Has the size of a future defensive tackle but the athleticism and pass rush skills of a top EDGE prospect. Flashes a plus first-step and quick hands both on Friday nights and in camp settings. Turned in a dominant sophomore campaign at Miami Dillard, showing advanced pass rush skills as a stand up rusher. Lives in the backfield, using his athleticism, strong hands and instincts to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Also doubles as a top track and field athlete, with a personal best of 55-6 feet in the shot put. Remains to be seen where he’ll end up from a size perspective, adding to some ambiguity around his position long-term.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Recruiting Charles Power
6. 5-star EDGE Zayden Walker
School: Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County
On3 RPM: Florida State 24.7%, Florida 21.6%, Auburn 14%, Georgia 11.7%, Alabama 11.7%, South Carolina 7.9%
On3 NIL Valuation: $165K
Scouting Summary: “The early front-runner for top EDGE prospect in the 2025 cycle as a rising junior. An unverified 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. Flashes a high-end combination of on-field athleticism and functional play strength. Lines up in both two and three-point stances off the edge. Shows noticeable first-step quickness off the snap. Very strong at the point of attack. Plays with excellent leverage and uses his strong lower body to move offensive linemen both as a bull rusher and run defender. Makes some eye-popping plays in pursuit, showcasing high-end athleticism in tracking down ball carriers from the back side. Doubles as a dangerous running back, using his athleticism and strength to pick up yards after contact. Helped his team to a state title appearance as a sophomore.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Recruiting Charles Power
7. 4-star OT David Sanders
School: Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School
On3 RPM: South Carolina 20.8%, NC State 18.2%, North Carolina 10.6%, Georgia 8.8%, Alabama 8.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $187K
Scouting Summary: “Twitchy, explosive jumbo athlete who looks like one of the top offensive tackles in the 2025 cycle early on. A two-way star for Providence Christian in Charlotte as an offensive tackle and defensive lineman. Has a tall, lean frame, measuring in at around 6-foot-5.5, 250 pounds with a 6-foot-9.5 wing-span and 9.5-inch hand. Registers as a top athlete, ripping off a sensational electronically-timed 4.89-second 40-yard dash at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp prior to his junior season. Transfers that athleticism over to the field. An electric mover for an underclassman offensive line prospect. Explodes to the second level and moves effortlessly in space. Plays much stronger than his lighter weight would suggest. Has developed upper body and core strength to plant defenders into the ground. Flashes some dominant tendencies as a drive blocker and finisher.
Runs his feet on contact and plays with some nastiness. Relatively advanced technically. Also shows off his athleticism as a defensive lineman. Would be an easy Power 5 prospect on that side of the ball. Also shows his functional strength in track and field, where he’s a standout in the shot put, with an outstanding personal best of 53-3.5 feet as a sophomore. Will need to continue adding mass, as he is relatively lean and does not have an overly wide frame. Older for the class, turning 17 years-old as a sophomore.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Recruiting Charles Power
8. 4-star safety DJ Pickett
School: Zephyrhills (Fla.)
On3 RPM: Florida State 17%, Michigan 14.9%, Florida 8.6%, Georgia 7.2%, Ohio State 7.2%
On3 NIL Valuation: $170K
Scouting Summary: “Dynamic, explosive two-way playmaker who looks like one of the top defensive back prospects in the 2025 cycle. A big-time two-way player as a receiver and defensive back. Has a thin, lean frame at over 6-foot-2 and around 170 pounds. An extremely twitchy athlete who also excels in track and field. Turned in sensational marks in the 100 meters (10.62 seconds) and 200 meters (21.69 seconds) as a sophomore. A natural playmaker on Friday nights. Pairs his plus athleticism and easy movement skills with high level instincts and ball skills. Has elite range as a deep safety. Reads and jumps routes to make plays on the ball. Doubles as a game-breaking receiver with the ability to take the top off of defenses and come down with acrobatic contested catches. Finished his sophomore season with 43 catches for 886 yards and 12 touchdowns in addition to picking off four passes. Ranked as a safety early on, but could be a legitimate high-end cornerback prospect or even play some offense in college. A bit for the cycle, with a May birthday. Will need to continue adding good mass to his leaner frame.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Recruiting Charles Power

Smooth and technical with the footwork, instincts and play speed to stay attached. Makes some impressive plays in downfield coverage. Turned in some strong track times as a sophomore, with a personal best of 10.81 seconds in the 100 meters. Looks to have one of the best size and speed combinations among cornerbacks early on in the 2025 cycle.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Recruiting Charles Power

Measured at over 6-foot-5, 220 pounds with a 6-foot-8.5 wing-span prior to his freshman season. Has a quick first step. Bursts off the snap and explodes into the backfield to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Makes easy work of opposing offensive tackles in pass rush situations. Typically beats the tackles to the edge, but also shows a budding technical skill set, using quick hands and spin moves to disengage. Flashes his athleticism as a pursuit defender with the high-level play speed to track down runners from behind. Also has the look of a strong run defender, using his big frame to set the edge.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Recruiting Charles Power
