Three WR targets to watch for FSU entering summer official visits
Recruiting has ramped up for Florida State for the 2025 class, and one key position to watch is what the Seminoles are doing at wide receiver.
After last year’s impressive 13-win season, the ‘Noles are making moves with several outstanding targets at receiver, and we would focus on these three heading into the summer official visit season.
Here’s also a full rundown of the WR Hot Board for the Noles
Three key WR targets to watch for FSU
Four-star WR Daylan McCutcheon
Latest on McCutcheon & FSU
I lean toward McCutcheon being one of the top receivers on the board for the Seminoles, if not the top one. FSU has gotten him on campus multiple times, and he’s going to be back again for the big June 21 official visit weekend, where several commits will also be in attendance. At this stage, I feel Florida State is the team with the most momentum going into those official visits.
The Texas standout has built a strong connection with head coach Mike Norvell and receivers coach Ron Dugans, he simply loves this FSU offense, and he has mentioned that his connection to the program feels unique. You can’t count out schools like Texas, Texas A&M and USC, however, as all of them are also high on his list.
Four-star WR Joshua Moore
Latest on Moore & FSU
If there is a target that has surged more up the board for Florida State than Moore, I haven’t seen him. The South Florida wideout is very highly coveted by the FSU staff. Dugans and Norvell have both made it clear they want him badly in this class, and going into the summer I would say he is the most coveted in-state receiver for the ‘Noles.
Georgia is also a school I’ve heard mentioned around Moore in the last week, and Miami is a team to keep an eye on. FSU gets to really set the pace in this one when the Seminoles host Moore for a June 7 visit. The attraction of Norvell’s offense and the ‘Noles’ emergence on the field is working here for FSU.
Four-star WR Vernell Brown Jr
Latest on Brown & FSU
Brown visited FSU in the spring and mentioned at the time that the ‘Noles and Ohio State were the two favorites. Brown’s father played at Florida, and they are also a team you can’t ignore in this recruitment. Brown is set to officially visit FSU, Florida and Ohio State this summer.
The Seminoles are Buckeyes are still the two teams mentioned the most heading into the summer, and the intel around Brown suggests that FSU has become a real threat here. But the official visits are going to play a major role in determining what school he’s comfortable with in every way.
