Kansas State is still in the process of scheduling football official visits. June is a big month for official visits, though K-State does have one scheduled for May. A new target to watch over the next few months is Fresno, Texas wide receiver Antoine Martin.

Kansas State offered the Lone Star State native on April 16th.

“K-State is a school I love because they have a history of developing players,” Martin began.

K-State wide receivers coach Matthew Middleton offered the junior.

“He’s been doing his research. Recruiting took a little while because I’m at a new school,” he shared. “But they love my track times and my explosion on film. I fit the type of player they want to be in their system.”

Middleton and Martin are building a strong relationship.

“A majority of coaches just go by ranking and stars and not doing real research on players and some get overlooked because of it. But that didn’t stand in the way with Coach Middleton he’s seen something in me with the right development can be special,” he pointed out. “We’re building a strong relationship, staying in touch. Going to try to put an official visit together. Coach Middleton is a great guy.”

Three schools have jumped to the front of the junior wide receiver’s recruitment.

“I’m loving all the schools that are recruiting me but Pittsburgh, K-State & Texas Tech are standing out the most,” he revealed. “The system, the fit, and development have made them stand out.”

Martin has one official visit scheduled thus far. He will be at Pitt on June 6th. His other official visit dates are being worked on.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the coaches, view the facilities, campus and study hall,” he noted.

The junior is planning on committing to a school during the summer before his senior football season begins.

“I’m looking for academics, longevity of the coaching staff, how would I be used in the scheme, and am I a need?” he concluded.
