Michigan lands commitment from 2024 LB Cole Sullivan

Michigan lands commitment from 2024 LB Cole Sullivan

On Friday, Michigan picked up its second 2024 verbal commitment in the month of May when three-star Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic linebacker Cole Sullivan announced his decision on social media.

Sullivan is also the second Western Pennsylvania native to join the two-time reigning Big Ten Champions this cycle. He chose the Wolverines over notable offers from Notre Dame, Pitt, Penn State, Wisconsin, Miami, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Stanford and West Virginia.

After hosting the 6-foot-4, 200-pound linebacker for two unofficial visits this past March, Michigan vaulted over the Fighting Irish for the lead on Sullivan, who built strong relationships with linebackers coach Chris Partridge and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter this offseason.

Both Partridge and quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell, who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, each visited Sullivan’s school during the spring evaluation period. Sullivan is projected as a defensive athlete for Michigan because of his esteemed versatility on the front seven.

Sullivan is ranked as the No. 37 overall linebacker in the country as well as the No. 10 in the state of Pennsylvania, according to On3.

Sullivan has an On3 NIL Valuation of $28K with 2,700 combined followers on Instagram and Twitter. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Rounding out Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class are Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Rochester (Mich.) Adams tight end Brady Prieskorn, Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, On300 Austin (Tex.) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier, On300 Kansas City (Mo.)
