Four-star edge rusher Daeden Hopkins visiting Missouri on Friday

Hermann (Mo.) High On3 Industry four-star defensive lineman Daeden Hopkins will visit Missouri on Friday as Eliah Drinkwitz and the Tigers aim to land another top target in the 2025 cycle.

“The thing that catch my eyes the most is the quality of the coaching staff,” Hopkins said. “When looking for a school one of the biggest things for me are the coaches.”

Mizzou is the On3 RPM favorite for the 6-foot-6, 215-pound Hopkins who also holds opportunities from Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and Penn State among others.

In addition to Friday’s visit, Hopkins is also slated to take an official to Columbia the weekend of June 21.

“Team culture is important to me and the proximity to home is also very appealing,” Hopkins said. “They are only an hour from home.”

Drinkwitz and his staff currently have five commits and sit at No. 19 in the On3 Industry Rankings. Other top targets the program is well positioned for include in-state receiver Corey Simms and in-state linebacker Jason King.

The On3 Industry tabs Hopkins as the No. 5 player in the state and No. 33 edge rusher in the class. On3 slots him at No. 29 and No. 3 respectively.

As a junior Hopkins was in on 67 tackles with nine sacks and five pass deflections. A two-way standout he had 691 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns.
