Wisconsin rising fast with Ohio DL Drayden Pavey

Burlington (Ky.) Taft defensive lineman Drayden Pavey landed an offer from Wisconsin this week and quickly locked in an official visit to Madison for the weekend of June 14.

The return trip to Madison bumps a previously scheduled official visit to Vanderbilt set after he was offered by the Commodores during a trip to campus in March.

“They came in and snuck up behind me and they sold me on defense,” Pavey said. “Coach (Luke) Fick(ell) preaches defense all the time.”

This recruitment is a Big Ten battle moving forward

Purdue is locked in for an official the weekend of June 7 and Indiana is set for June 21. As the 6-foot-3, 294-pound Pavey said, the Badgers are rising fast in this recruitment.

“They are right here with my other top two,” Pavey said. “And they are a school I definitely could see myself at.”

Pavey was able to visit Madison earlier this month.

As a junior Pavey posted 46 tackles including nine stops for loss and 7.5 sacks.
