The Huskers are active in Texas again, trying to get several players from the Lone Star State to join Matt Rhule at Nebraska. Jamal Frilot from Spring (Texas) Dekaney visited Lincoln last fall and has set a return visit to see the Huskers again in June.
In addition to Nebraska, Frilot is holding offers from Maryland, Syracuse, Pitt, Tulane, and others. Frilot played ten games last season for Dekaney. In those ten games, he had 54 total tackles, 32 solos and 22 assists, 9.5 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hurries, 4.5 sacks, and one interception.
Nebraska will host their first official visitors for the 2025 recruiting cycle on Saturday for their annual Red-White spring game. Eight confirmed official visitors and nine unofficial visitors from the 2025 class will be in Lincoln this weekend.
Nebraska’s recruiting class has five commitments, four of which come from the state. Defensive lineman Tyson Terry from Omaha (Neb.) North and defensive back Caden VerMaas from Omaha (Neb.) Millard North are the only defensive commitments in the class.
