On Monday night (4/15), our WeAreSC Subscribers submitted questions for THE LATEST edition of the USC Trojans Football AND Recruiting Q&A. 

This is a feature we did weekly throughout the USC football season and will continue up until the February 2025 signing period. 

All questions were submitted on our “WeAreSC Members Only” Forum.

Do you feel Jahkeem Stewart will reclassify to the 2025 class?

I’d actually be surprised if Jahkeem Stewart doesn’t end up reclassifying. He’ll be at USC this weekend with 4-Star 2026 Buford (GA) DL Bryce Perry-Wright.

Are the rumors of well known defensive linemen hitting the portal, dying down or gaining momentum?

I’ve seen/heard the same rumors everyone else has, but never heard anything substantive to know how legit they were. We sure saw a shitload of teasing on social media though lol.

So I’m not saying we won’t see a few of those dudes hit the portal or not. I had very good reason to believe Damonic Williams may hit the transfer portal, but haven’t seen anything today.

How many wide receivers do you think will be taken for the 2025 class?

We’ll know more on the numbers after the transfer portal window closes, but my best guess is three to four.

Do you think Josh Henson is a good recruiter??? Lots of debate about him landing mostly three stars in the past classes and starting this class off with a three star.

Yes I do, and he’s a very good coach too.

Coach (Josh) Henson is extremely particular with what he’s looking for in his offensive linemen. I get y’all want all elite five-star guys, but the last two OL classes were very very solid per my eyes.

Over/under for kabooms (commits) next week?

I’ll need to check up on this topic, but there’s a great chance USC gains a few commitments from guys at the April 20 Spring Game. But I need to check in with sources on this.

Are we the favorite to land Noah Mikhail? Do you expect that he will commit soon?

Right now I believe USC is in a strong to spot to ultimately get Noah Mikhail based of what I’ve been told, but the June officials are big.

What are you hearing about Isaiah Raikes leaving?

Not too significant. There are plenty of guys like him USC can add this Spring.

Best linebackers in this class that USC should get besides Matai Tagoa’i?

I’m a huge Noah Mikhail fan, but USC has a great shot at signing a really great linebacker class this cycle.

Does Tobias Raymond have a legit shot to start at Right Tackle?

Probably not if USC adds an offensive tackle from the portal, but he’s a guy Josh Henson was very high on. He’s developed a bit quicker than expected too. Bright future either way.

Is the new Defensive Staff moving the needle with Dijon Lee?

I’m told chances are slim USC gets him, but it’s a long way to Dec. 4.

I get the strategy of filling as many spots as possible however whats with all the three stars. Wouldn’t it be more beneficial to wait for some of the higher rated players? I feel like it would be way easier to get back in the fold with the three stars even if we missed out on higher rated players.

What if they’re not three stars? You need to get past looking at rankings in April my man. Trestin Castro was a three star last week.

Because of the large amount of upper class man especially on defense do you see us taking more players from high school?

I expect USC to sign full or close to full high school classes every cycle. They’re certainly planning to with the 2025 class.
