New On3 RPM prediction logged for Florida State
Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles are putting together a strong recruiting class this cycle. With 11 commitments, the ACC program in Tallahassee (Fla.) sits at No. 7 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Their top commitment to date is five-star tight end Landen Thomas. He committed to Florida State early, flipped to Georgia and has flipped back to the Seminoles. Florida State is loading up on offensive weapons. To go with Thomas, four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek, four-star running back Kameron Davis and four-star wide receiver Tawaski Abrams headline this class.
Florida State is trending for more talent too. On3 five-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels and four-star interior linemanJason Zandamela among that group, as is five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, who has FSU at the top of his list.
Seminoles trending for a coveted pass-rusher
Could the Seminoles be close to adding its first four-star on the defensive side of the ball to its commitment list? The commitment timeline is expected to be over the summer, but based on intel, I like where Florida State sits with four-star EDGE Dylan Stephenson.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound soon-to-be senior out of Miami (Fla.) Columbus was back in Tallahassee last month and he has visited a couple of times this calendar year.
John Papuchis and David Johnson are heavily involved in Stephenson’s recruitment. Norvell stays in contact as well.
Based on what I am hearing, Florida State has picked up some real momentum with Stephenson, and I have logged a prediction for the Seminoles on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Stephenson has one official visit scheduled and it is to Florida State on June 23-25. Miami, Auburn and a few others are in this as well, but the buzz right now is with the ‘Noles.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Stephenson is the No. 196 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 16 EDGE and the No. 31 player in Florida.
