“I think they’ve upgraded at the wide receiver spot, which is what you were hoping would be the case. But you know, I think Chris Brazell has been really good. I liked his progression throughout spring. Mike Matthews, as you expected, has a ton of upside. Braylon Staley has been better than probably most people thought that he would be. I don’t think he’s going to jump in and take a bunch of Squirrel White reps or snaps in games, but I think you like the upside there. To me, the biggest surprise of that group is Dont’e Thornton and it’s just the way Dont’e Thornton has carried himself. He has always had talent and ability but he’s playing with a ton of confidence right now. So, on that side of the ball, I start there. [Miles] Kitselman has been the biggest surprise maybe offensively with what he’s done at the tight end spot as an individual. I didn’t see that coming. I thought he was basically an extension of an offensive lineman, but I think he can certainly play in space and more than he thought. And they’re more athletic in the secondary, which you thought they would be.”
