Four-star WR from Texas set to visit
One of the country’s best pass-catchers has a trip booked to South Carolina for later this month.
Weiss (Texas) wideout Adrian Wilson told GamecockCentral.com that he will be in Columbia for the Gamecocks’ annual Garnet and Black Game on April 20.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder has been communicating regularly with South Carolina assistant Mike Furrey, who’s led the charge in this recruitment.
“Coach Furrey is a great guy and a great coach,” said Wilson. “I’m excited to get on campus and see what they have to offer.”

Wilson backed away from a previous commitment to Oregon in March in favor of reopening his recruitment. Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Auburn, Penn State, and numerous others have also extended scholarship offers.
Shortly after being hired in Columbia, Furrey quickly targeted Wilson by dispensing an offer of his own.
“Definitely been watching them a lot recently,” Wilson said of the South Carolina program under head coach Shane Beamer.
Wilson is rated as a four-star prospect by the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a weighted average of the four major recruiting services. The metric also has Wilson as the number 128 overall prospect for the 2025 class, plus the 15th-best wide receiver and the 24th-best prospect in Texas.
