Rusty’s Ramblings: Top targets expected in Athens for G-Day week

It’s the final week of spring practice at Georgia with the Bulldogs holding two sessions Tuesday-Thursday and then G-Day on Saturday. With that, we’re expecting a strong list of visitors to be in town throughout the week and DawgsHQ will update that list daily.

Here are some names we want to highlight on this Monday morning update we expect in town.

Justus Terry – Georgia has not given up here at all. Now committed to USC, Terry will be in town this week. He has an official set for May 31st so Georgia will get him on campus first in that all important month of June visits. USC will go last in that month.

Travis Smith – Another major UGA in-state target for the Class of 2025, the wide receiver will make a return trip to Athens this week. Really starting to like Georgia more and more here. James Coley has not let up here at all.

Elyiss Williams – Tight end committed to Georgia that will be in Athens this week, and that’s big before being down at Miami over the weekend. The Hurricanes are pushing hard. I think he is one of the best prospects in this class regardless of position in 2025. Todd Hartley knows this one is a big one to win, and he is really tight with his family, so every visit is key here as you can imagine.

*** Hard to not to get excited about the play of Arian Smith, he is different and he is something I think that can take this Georgia offense off this fall with his skill set. There will be a lot of targets left with Brock Bowers now in the NFL, so I think Smith is someone that comes that more valuable to Carson Beck and the playing calling for this team. He has been really good this spring and I have mentioned it before, Mike Bobo is heavily involved here daily with him.

There will be a running list for G-Day expected visitors up no later than Tuesday, we expect all of the 2024 signees that are not early enrolled and a good list of uncommitted prospects from around the country.
