Florida RB commit Kahnen Daniels schedules Michigan State official visit

Florida four-star running back commit Kahnen Daniels has scheduled an official visit to Michigan State for June 2. The West Point (Miss.) High School standout committed to the Gators on April 10. Daniels, who holds additional offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi, and Auburn, will also take an official visit to Florida on June 16.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound running back No. 312 recruit in the nation, according to the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Daniels No. 276 overall, the No. 22 running back, and the No. 8 recruit in Mississippi.

Michigan State running backs coach Effrem Reed extended the offer to the Florida running back commit on May 3. Reed was then able to quickly convinced the four-star to schedule an official visit with the Spartans.

“Coach Reed appears to be a great coach,” Kahnen told SpartanMag. “He’s from the South as well. I’m grateful that he extended an offer to me.”

Daniels is excited to make the trip north to East Lansing and get a first-hand look at the Michigan State campus. Spartans head coach Mel Tucker also has the four-star’s attention heading into his June official visit.

“It’s going to be very interesting to get up to East Lansing,” Kahnen said. “I’ve never been that far north before. I know (Michigan State) is a program on the rise and I hear a lot of good things about Coach Tucker.”

King Recruiting and Scouting Services’ recruiting coordinator Lawrence Hopkins works closely with Daniels. Hopkins raved about Daniels work ethic on and off the field, along with his selfless personality and attitude.

“Kahnen Daniels is one of the toughest and hardest working kids in the entire state of Mississippi,” Hopkins said. “He is one of the top running backs in the nation that has just been overlooked because this is Mississippi. Despite all of that, it makes him work just that much harder.”

“He is one of the most humble kids that you will ever meet,” Hopkins continued. “Kahnen is the type of person that is always about the team first, and his self last. He is the epitome me of selfless service. He goes above and beyond to make sure that there isn’t a single person left behind.”

Daniels currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $60K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
