South Carolina makes CBS post-spring Top 25

CBS Sports and Dennis Dodd recently provided a post-spring update to their Top 25 rankings for the 2023 college football season and South Carolina made the cut, checking in at No. 20.

Said Dodd:

Life couldn’t be better for Shane Beamer. The upsets of Tennessee and Clemson were historic. The third-year coach doubled his salary after an eight-win season. Spencer Rattler returns to spark the offense that had its highest-scoring season since 2014. The issue is a defense that gave up 29 points per game. Way-too-early ranking: 22

Dodd and CBS are slightly higher on South Carolina than some of the other national media with the Gamecocks not making ESPN’s post-spring Top 25 power rankings.
