Four things to watch as Ohio State commits prepare for Under Armour camp

COLUMBUS — A number of Ohio State commits are set to compete in the Under Armour camp series this Sunday.

The camp takes place at Fortress Obetz with the first position groups starting at 9 a.m. and the final group wrapping up by 2:30 p.m.

The list of expected Buckeyes’ commits to participate in the camp is below.

Five-star New Haven (Ind) wide receiver Mylan GrahamThree-star Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic IOL Marc NaveFour-star Sunbury (Ohio) Big Walnut linebacker Garrett StoverThree-star Pickerington (Ohio) North running back Sam Williams-Dixon

Lettermen Row lists out four things to watch — one for each commit — ahead of the Under Armour camp on Sunday.

Let’s dive in.

ICYMI: Ohio State commits, targets expected at Columbus Under Armour camp

Separation for Graham

Mylan Graham is the best-announced wide receiver heading to Obetz for the camp.

Not arguably, debatably or anything adverb you’d like to use. The country’s No. 4 wide receiver and No. 12 overall prospect will take the field for a slew of combine drills and then ball drills.

Where I’m intrigued to see Graham shine is in the one-on-one settings, particularly against four-star Springfield (Ohio) cornerback Aaron Scott Jr.

Scott is the No. 2 cornerback in the country per On3. More importantly, he is a massive Ohio State target. This Sunday will provide both Graham and Scott with a great window to see how well they stack up against each other — and for Graham to get in some peer recruiting for the Buckeyes.

Movement, first steps for Nave

Marc Nave might not be the highest-rated interior offensive lineman, but he is pretty darn good.

Just how good is my question?

It’s not the same evaluating and judging linemen without full pads. It simply is not the same. But there are little things to pick up on that provide insight.

How does Nave take his first step? What do his hands do on that step? Is there a full extension on the explosion while finishing a rep? There will be plenty of eyes at this camp, but habits are telling.

Obviously, Nave is good enough to earn an Ohio State offer and commit. There isn’t a question about that. The improvements in his game he’s made over the last year will show and I’m eager to see that.

Comfortability for Stover

This will be the first competitive football work for Garrett Stover since he had off-season surgery on his upper body.

He’s a tough prospect and certainly shows that on the field. But there is always that question of when coming back from injury of comfortability.

The No. 152 overall prospect per On3 will have his hands full with some of the offensive talent expected at the camp. And he will get to compete against two of his fellow 2024 classmates, which might be the best competition for him.

Versatility on display for Williams-Dixon

Sam Williams-Dixon is one of the more versatile commits in the Buckeyes’ No. 2 class.

And I’m eager to see that on display Sunday.

He can be a three-down back, he can also be an H-back. Slot receiver isn’t out of the question. I’m looking forward to where he lines up with Ohio State next fall, but for now, where he goes on Sunday will be just as intriguing.
