Live Updates: Vols aim for good start in Peach State as Georgia series begins
Tennessee baseball is back in action this weekend for another three-game conference set. The Vols kickoff the series at Georgia in Athens Friday evening with a 6 pm eastern first pitch start time, hoping to keep the winning way alive.
So far this season, No. 18 Tennessee (31-14, 11-10 SEC) is just 1-9 on the road but is on a current eight-game win-streak with over 50 runs scored during the stretch with two outs. Georgia (25-20, 8-13 SEC) is coming off a series loss at Ole Miss, but did sweep Arkansas at Foley Field juts two weeks ago.
RHP Andrew Lindsey (0-2, 3.11 ERA) will get the party started by taking on fellow right-handed hurler Kolten Smith (2-1, 4.91 ERA) in game one. All three contests this weekend will be streamed on the SEC Network+ as the Vols have won seven of the past 10 matchups in the series.
