Coveted WR Jason Robinson planning an official visit to Colorado
Long Beach (Calif.) Long Beach Poly four-star wide receiver Jason Robinson has quickly seen Colorado rise up his recruiting board.
New head coach Deion Sanders quickly made an impression on Robinson during his first visit to Boulder. Robinson was expected to make his way to Colorado for the Buffaloes’ spring game.
He was unable to attend. Robinson is already planning his return to Boulder, this time it will be for an official visit.
Robinson hasn’t set a date for that trip to Boulder as of now, but he expects it to happen at some point in June. He feels a trip to Boulder is a must to see Colorado in depth before he can make a college decision.
“I want to see everything that they have to offer from head to toe,” Robinson told On3. “From what I’ve seen, it’s a great program and it’s somewhere I can be and Deion Sanders is someone I can be coached under. I’ve got to be able to see everything and see what I’m getting myself into before I can make a decision.”
Robinson feels like a major priority to Colorado. The Buffaloes have built a strong connection with Robinson since he decommitted from USC.
“They’re coming really hard,” Robinson said. “They’re hitting me really hard and get us out there and really talk to us. I can tell that they’re really rocking with us over there.”
Jason Robinson recaps spring visits
Robinson was able to take multiple visits this spring. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Notre Dame as Robinson’s leader.
The Fighting Irish have an 89.7 percent chance of landing Robinson according to RPM. Robinson felt like a priority when he made his way to South Bend back on April 17.
There were coaches lined up to greet him when he arrived.
“Notre Dame showed a lot of love when I went up there,” Robinson said. “When I went into the practice facility every coach was lined up to dap me up, showing me love and talking to me. That was something small, but it showed that they really cared. That meant a lot.”
Robinson got a similar feeling at Syracuse on April 13.
“They were really honed in on me and showing me some real focus,” Robinson said.
Robinson was at Penn State on April 15 to watch the Nittany Lions’ spring game. The spring game atmosphere caught Robinson’s attention immediately.
“It was lit, they had 60,000 people there,” Robinson said. “They’re a football-loving city out there. That’s something you can get behind.
What’s next?
Robinson plans on taking some more unofficial visits as well as official visits before he makes a decision. Robinson isn’t sure where as of now.
He’s also holding off on a definite timeline until after he hits the road for a few more visits in the coming months.
“Right now, I’m just filling out these visits and seeing who I’m really feeling and narrowing down,” Robinson said.
