4-star WR Terrell Anderson on NC State: ‘I love the program’
Terrell Anderson has already visited NC State twice this year, and he recently locked in his next trip to campus heading into the summer. North Carolina’s No. 3 rising senior will officially visit the Wolfpack June 16-18, headlining a huge official visit weekend for the program.
NC State, UNC, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia Tech hosted the four-star wide receiver earlier this year, and he is in the process of putting together the rest of his visit schedule.
His trip to Raleigh is his only set-in-stone date, but Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee and possibly Florida could all receive officials. The receiver plans on taking five official visits.
Anderson most recently traveled to Raleigh March 31 for a spring practice visit and shared a glowing report of the program.
“It’s always great visiting NC State,” Anderson said. “They always show love. I’m cool with all the coaches, the staff. I love the program.”
In a previous interview, Anderson told TheWolfpacker.com that he spent some one-on-one time with wide receivers coach Joker Phillips while on campus in March.
“He showed me a lot, taught me a lot,” Anderson said. “He kept it real, talking to me about life, football, the program etc.”
When he returns to Raleigh this summer, he will do so alongside four-star wide receiver and Grimsley High teammate Alex Taylor, four-star wide receiver Jonathan Paylor, a couple of the Pack’s current commits and a few additional priority prospects.
During that trip, he wants to learn more about the university’s academics. Anderson plans on majoring in business but wants to learn what other options would be available to him if he picked NC State.
In addition to recent conversations with the receiver, TheWolfpacker.com spoke with a source close to him who said that his March visit was great. The four-star prospect left Raleigh that day impressed by offensive coordinator Robert Anae’s new system.
“The more visits you go on to a school, the more you fall in love with it,” Anderson said. “I’ve been to NC State probably like six or seven times, so I’m used to everything.”
“At the practice, they were passing the ball a lot, and I see that they opened up the playbook and, if you go to NC State, you’ve got a chance to play early.”
Anderson said that opportunity for playing time as an underclassman appeals to him.
On3 considers Anderson the No. 112 recruit in the nation, the No. 18 wide receiver and the No. 3 prospect in North Carolina. NC State leads his Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 63.3 percent.
