‘High possibility’ 4-star OT Jordan Seaton officially visits Florida Gators

BRADENTON, FLORIDA — What has made Florida a contender with 4-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton of IMG Academy? For one thing, he likes the Gators’ staff setup.

“The two-O-Line coach system,” Seaton said Wednesday. “I like that because what one coach might not have time to do the other makes up for it. So that’s a good system to have. And, they have two other assistant coaches right under them that know the same stuff they’re teaching. So like, it’s never-ending learning so that’s good.”

Rob Sale, one of Florida’s offensive line coaches (the other is Darnell Stapleton), was at IMG on Tuesday. 

“Coach Sale is a good coach,” Seaton said. “We’ve gotten to speak a few times. He came up to the practice but weren’t able to talk because of NCAA rules. I want to say once or twice a week we get on the phone and chop it up about some daily work that I’ve got going on.”

Sale and Stapleton have help with this recruitment. And it’s coming from Gators coach Billy Napier, who is active in this recruitment.

“The head coach reaches out very much more than others,” Seaton told Gators Online. “Good dude. He picks up the phone whenever.. He’s a real good dude. He’s calm. Chill.”

Jordan Seaton could visit the Gators again soon

Ohio State is the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favorite. Alabama is another school involved of note. Georgia, once thought to be a favorite, doesn’t seem to be as heavily involved as it was a few months ago.

Are the Gators a legitimate factor?

“Yes, they are,” Seaton said. “They’re a school I’m looking at right now.” He added that Florida is recruiting him “really hard” at the moment.

Seaton previously visited the Gators in March. 

Him now returning for an official visit is a “high possibility,” Seaton said Wednesday.

Seaton, a Washington DC-area native, is the No. 5 offensive tackle and 57 overall recruit in the country for the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
