What the Volquest guys are saying about Tennessee
Austin Price on who needs to have a good summer in order to see the field in the fall….
“Whoever is playing right tackle and left guard needs to have a good summer. They need to make a move. They need somebody, whether that’s Andrej Karic or Addison Nichols playing left guard. Whether it’s Jeremiah Crawford or Gerald Mincey playing right tackle. They need someone up front to assert themselves this summer and make a move. You’d like to have at least some inkling of how this guy has taken a step, this guy has taken a step, or this guy has changed since spring. If it’s literally copy and paste from spring as you head into fall, to me, that’s a little bit worrisome.”
Brent Hubbs on hat the fan expectation for football should be in 2023…
“From a football perspective, I think nine wins is where I’d start at. Kind of go from there. That’s where I’d put Tennessee at right now, eight or nine wins. Just depending on how healthy they stay and depending on if they find the answers they need at the offensive line position. So, that’s where I would go looking at the schedule and looking where Tennessee is at. I think that Texas A&M game is a key game when you start looking to count wins and where it’s at. Where is that A&M team going to be this year and how is Tennessee in that game?”
