Under Brent Venables the Oklahoma Sooners roster has seen some massive overhaul with just 21 players remaining from when the long-time defensive coordinator arrived in Norman on December 6, 2021. Prior to the 2023 season Venables and co. are already at 75 scholarship players with 13 incoming players, including Texas wide receiver transfer Brenen Thompson. The Oklahoma Sooners continue to monitor the portal and are already six commitments into the class of 2024 with even their class of 2025 quarterback already settled in standout Kevin Sperry.
