Coaches on the road: Georgia staff to see multiple 5-stars
Georgia staff is back on the road today and we’re in the know when it comes to the guys the staff will be seeing. We offer it all to you below.
Keep in mind that we’re currently in the spring evaluation period. Per NCAA rules, coaches are not allowed to communicate with a player or members of his family outside of a greeting. Coaches can visit prospects twice during the spring evaluation period where they both evaluate and allow their presence to speak for itself.
Bryan McClendon started his day out in Chattanooga and checked in on Amari Jefferson. Kirby Smart took the helicopter to The Baylor School back in January after Georgia had just won its second title in two years. Georgia holds the RPM lead over Alabama right now.
Todd Hartley is finally back in the Peach State on Tuesday and he watched Calhoun TE Emaree Winston this morning. He will be in Milton/Alpharetta area today to see 2025 TE Ryan Ghea and Ethan Barbour. Both are nationally ranked prospects already.
Looks like Glenn Schumann is still in Alabama where he was able to see verbal commit DeMarcus Riddick practice. I know Georgia is trying to keep him in this class and this small visit could be big. I want to see if they can get him back on campus anytime soon. Right now I would still predict him to land somewhere else, but it is not over just yet and Schumann going there, to me, sends that message.
Couple of big stops expected today for Georgia DL coach Tray Scott and and DBs coach Fran Brown in the state of Georgia and that starts at Buford. I am expecting BOTH coaches there today and that means they will be in front of Eddrick Houston and KJ Bolden. TWO MAJOR 2024 targets for the Bulldogs.
Coaches at Manchester told me that they also expect Scott to see UGA commit Justus Terry.
Working on others to confirm, but these visits each day tell part of the story in each recruitment. With spring practice kicking off in Georgia, the staff will be spending more time in-state over the next few days.
