Alabama offers transfer portal defensive back
Trey Amos, cornerback from Louisiana, announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Monday evening. He revealed several offers shortly after the news was announced via Twitter including one from Alabama.
The redshirt junior also announced offers from Auburn, Illinois, LSU, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State and Ole Miss. Amos recorded 36 total tackles (27 solo) with eight pass breakups during the 2022 season.
The 6-foot-1, 197-pound defender is originally from New Iberia, Louisiana. He signed with Ragin Cajuns in 2020. The Gators have connections with its staff who originally recruited Amos. The home state school may also have an inside track. The Crimson Tide have submitted its names in the race.

Amos was a star high school quarterback before moving to cornerback when he arrived in Lafayette. He has seen significant action in the last three seasons including a starting role in 2022.
