2025 Top-50 LB Noah Mikhail feeling comfortable with USC staff, will return this summer
2025 La Verne (Calif.) Bonita four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail has been a frequent visitor of USC since January.
Mikhail is the No. 51 overall prospect and No. 6 linebacker in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 8 player in California.
On3 is higher in Mikhail than others in the industry, ranking him as the No. 43 overall prospect and No. 3 linebacker.
Living only 30 minutes away gives him easy access to USC but it is the relationships and coaching staff of the Trojans that keeps bring him back.
It is often that prospects have a firm grip on a program following the third or fourth visits in their recruitment. Mikhail took his fourth visit to USC April 11, so I caught up with him to get his thoughts and feelings on the program and staff.
“I’ve been down to USC quiet a bit now so just being able to see the spring practices along with getting to talk with Coach [Brian] Odom and Coach [Lincoln] Riley some more was great.”
“I feel comfortable with that staff and really enjoy my time down there every time I visit. I would say I have the best relationship with Coach Odom and Coach Riley.”
The position coach is always an integral part of a recruitment, but it is not every recruit that has a full or great relationship with the head coach at such an early standpoint. Mikhail has that with Riley. And Mikhail has had several conversations about where they envision him in their defense and how they want to use his ability.
“They envision as a linebacker in their defense, and say they really like my versatility along with athletic ability, they also like how I play in space.”
Mikhail added in our conversation he is planning to be back on campus for some unofficial visits this summer. Notre Dame and Texas A&M are two programs to monitor in his recruitment. Florida is also one looking to make some noise with him.
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Mikhail holds 30 total offers. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has USC as a slight favorite to land a commitment from Mikhail at 30.2%. Texas A&M comes in at second place at 13.5%.
RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

On3 NIL Valuation
Mikhail has an On3 NIL Valuation of $55K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
