OT Caleb Pyfrom says that Nebraska will get one of his official visits
Omaha (Neb.) Central offensive tackle Caleb Pyfrom was back in Lincoln for their spring game last weekend. Pyfrom made it to Lincoln for a visit three times this spring from March to April. The three-star OT was impressed by the game environment and the offensive line play last weekend. He says that he is looking at five schools for his official visits, and Nebraska has a good chance to get a visit.
“I went to the spring game last weekend,” Pyfrom said. “The game was great! I liked the energy of the staff and the players. The quarterbacks were live again!”
Nebraska offensive line and environment impresses Caleb Pyfrom
Pyfrom has had some opportunities this spring to watch the offensive line. The improvement in a few short months is clear to Pyfrom.
“I thought the offensive line played well. There has been an improvement in them. I saw that Jacob Hood and Turner Corcoran got dinged up and I got worried about that.”
Despite being from Nebraska, this was Pyfrom’s first spring game. The attendance last weekend surprised Pyfrom. That says something when an in-state recruit is surprised.
“That was my first Nebraska spring game,” Pyfrom said. “I wasn’t expecting that many people to be there. The fans are really dedicated.”
Official visit plans include one for Nebraska and Caleb Pyfrom is focusing this summer
Five schools are standing out to Pyfrom for an official visit. He says that he will start planning them soon, and it sounds like he will be taking the majority of them in June.
“I have been thinking about my official visits and I am going to start planning my official visits. For now, I think it’s going to be Penn State, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.
“We will have to see when I schedule them. I was thinking about taking most of them in June. We’ll see.”
Pyfrom has been a two-sport standout, in fact, he was really encouraged to play football. Typically he would be playing AAU, but he says that he is focusing on his senior season playing football.
“I am not playing AAU basketball this summer,” Pyfrom said. “I am going to be putting all of my energy towards playing football for the next couple of months. I am going to be lifting and training. I have a strength coach.”
Pyfrom said that he may try and schedule another unofficial visit to Nebraska later this summer to check in on Nebraska.
