Spartans offer 2024 OL on campus
Michigan State welcomed class of 2024 offensive lineman Kaedin Massey of Lyndon (KS) High School to East Lansing for an unofficial visit on Monday (April 24). The 6-foot-8, 255-pound tackle holds other offers from Kansas State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Mississippi, Northwestern, and more. He visited Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Nebraska earlier this spring.
Massey is ranked a three-star, the No. 1002 overall recruit, the No. 74 offensive tackle, and the No. 5 recruit in Kansas by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.

2025 QB offered
Michigan State also offered class of 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre of Nashville (TN) Brentwood Academy on April 25. The 6-foot-5, 185-pound gunslinger holds other offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Auburn, and more. He took visits to Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and Clemson earlier this spring.
MacIntyre is ranked a four-star, the No. 12 overall recruit, the No. 2 quarterback, and the No.1 recruit in Tennessee by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
Another new 2025 offer
The Spartans also offered class of 2025 running back Deondrae “Tiger” Riden of Dallas (TX) DeSoto High School on April 25. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound back holds offers from Texas A&M, Southern California, Texas, Oregon, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, and more.
Riden is ranked a four-star, the No. 186 overall recruit, the No. 15 running back, and the No. 31 recruit in Texas by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
Coaches on the road
Michigan State cornerbacks coach Jim Salgado stopped in White Plains (NY) Archbishop Stepinac School on April 25, home of recently offered and recent visitor 2024 defensive back Samuel Madu. The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder made a last minute change to his plans and stopped in East Lansing on April 14. Madu visited Notre Dame on April 13 before heading to MSU, and then to Penn State for the spring game on April 15.
Michigan State defensive line coach Diron Reynolds stopped in Savannah (GA) Calvary Day School on April 25, home of former Spartan QB target Jake Merklinger, along with four-star TE/DE Michael Smith.
Smith (6-4, 225) is ranked a four-star, the No. 96 overall recruit, the No. 7 tight end, and the No. 16 recruit in Georgia by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings. He is currently committed to South Carolina, with offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, and more.
Spartan offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic spent the afternoon in Akron (OH) Archbishop Hoban School, home of four-star offensive lineman William Satterwhite on April 25. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound interior lineman visited Michigan State on March 19. He will take an official visit to Alabama in June, with Ohio State, Penn State, and others pushing.
New official visit scheduled
Three-star 2024 Michigan State defensive back commitment Jaylen Thompson, of Murfreesboro (TN) Riverdale School will take an official visit in East Lansing on June 2-4, he tells SpartanMag.com.
Thompson has been committed to Michigan State since December, 2022. He most recently visited for the spring game on April 15.
