2025 Safety Kendall Daniels Looking to Visit Kentucky in Summer After Receiving Offer

2025 Safety Kendall Daniels Looking to Visit Kentucky in Summer After Receiving Offer

Kentucky football has been busy this week, extending several offers to high school and transfer prospects across the country

Among those offers includes Kendall Daniels, a class of 2025 defensive back out of Virginia.

Daniels, a 6-foot-3, 187-pound safety from Maury (Norfolk, VA), told KSR+ that he was “pretty excited to get an offer from Kentucky.”

“That’s a good school and they’ve been doing great,” he said. “The conversation was about giving them a chance, a fair chance to recruit me.”

Kentucky’s defensive coordinator Brad White was the one who extended the offer, which was Daniels’ first time interacting with UK’s staff.

“I know they’re a Top-15 defense and that’s what I want to play for in college,” Daniels said. “They’ve got people in the NFL.”

Daniels is confident that Kentucky’s NFL pedigree will pay dividends in his future.

“I’d fit pretty well because the people they have in the NFL are safeties,” he said. “The coach is a great coach.”

Now that he has an offer in hand, Daniels is looking to take a visit to Kentucky.

“In the summer,” he said. “Probably around the summertime or so.”

His Wider Recruitment

Since Kendall Daniels is only a sophomore, he hasn’t had coaches reaching out directly. However, that hasn’t slowed the recruitment in any way.

“It’s been a process,” he said. “I never thought I’d be at this point in my career.”

Daniels currently holds offers from Virginia Tech, Duke, UNC Charlotte, West Virginia, Old Dominion, Penn State, South Carolina, Maryland, Notre Dame, Liberty, Kentucky, and East Carolina.

Among his offers, Daniels has taken visits to Old Dominion, Virginia Tech, UNC Charlotte, and Liberty.

“I’m looking for a school where I can get an education, a great coaching staff, a great defense for me, and one that fits me best,” he said.

Kendall Daniels’ Game

Class of 2025 safety Kendall Daniels of Maury (VA) is currently unranked in the On3 Industry Ranking but is listed as a four-star recruit by 247Sports.

“I’m great at everything, but I can work on press [coverage],” he said.

Moving forward, Daniels said he wants to improve on his man-to-man coverage, as well as making open field tackles.

Daniels wasn’t the only player from Maury’s football program to receive an offer from Kentucky this week.

Ari Watford, a 2025 four-star edge rusher, also announced an offer from the program on Tuesday

While Daniels said the two haven’t talked about a package deal, the opportunity is still up in the air.

“We could do that,” Daniels said. “You never really know.”

As far as Watford’s game, Daniels had very high praise for his teammate.

“Ari is a dog,” he said. “He can do everything in my eyes. He’s a great teammate.”
