On300 EDGE Justin Hill ‘very interested’ in Florida Gators following visit

Last Thursday marked another successful journey for Justin Hill, as the 2025 prospect made his way to Gainesville and landed a scholarship offer as well.

Hill, who straps up the pads for Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods, is a four-star prospect and the 14th-ranked EDGE in his class. He is the 194th-ranked prospect regardless of position as well. That is according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“It was great. I loved the humility the coaches and the rest of the staff showed during my visit. I definitely want to get back down there and continue to build relationships with the coaches and fans,” Hill told Gators Online.

“The crowd was electric and everybody around town loves the Gators. I’m very interested in the University of Florida.”

Although the relationship is nearly brand new, Hill says outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson is already doing all the right things. That is the staff member he communicated with the most while on campus as well.

Peterson told Hill there is a need for him in Gainesville and that they will remain in contact before turning it up a notch on Sept. 1.

“I mean, they’re all super genuine. I spent (the most) time with coach Mike Peterson,” Hill said. “He is my guy and I just met him. He’s super real, and I am looking forward to building a relationship with him and the rest of the staff.”

The Gators are in the thick of the race for Hill

For Hill, the highlights of last week’s visit were attending the Orange and Blue Game and obviously landing a scholarship offer. There was a lot to digest during his lone day in Gainesville, but the Midwest native says a return trip to campus is already being discussed.

“I liked the fans. The environment is super warm down there too,” said Hill. “I didn’t get to see a gator, but I’ll probably see one next time I go (laughter). I don’t know when it will be, but it should happen.”

Roughly a month ago, Buckeyes insider Matt Parker submitted an On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick in favor of Ohio State. Those odds for the in-state program are currently at 90.5 percent.

Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky and West Virginia are schools in pursuit of Hill as well.

“Florida’s up there for sure,” Hill replied when asked about the Gators’ standing in his recruitment.
