THREE THINGS WE LEARNED ABOUT KANSAS STATE
2. RE-INTRODUCED TO RESOURCE WAR: Although positive high school recruiting news arrived at the doorstep of Kansas State, that was not true of the transfer portal. A visit is not expected from Hofstra guard Aaron Estrada, as all indications and momentum suggest that he is headed to Alabama. It is yet another sign that sometimes charisma, winning and coaching is not enough. Being on the wrong end of a resource war still has its disadvantages. When they are given legitimate chances and host players for actual visits, it tends to go much better for K-State.
3. RAISES: Every single Kansas State football assistant was awarded with an extension and a raise on the heels of the Big 12 title in December that advanced the Wildcats to the Sugar Bowl. Those were released via an article from Kellis Robinett of the Kansas City Star/Wichita Eagle. Both K-State coordinators Collin Klein and Joe Klanderman now make north of $800,000.
TWO QUESTIONS
1. KLIEMAN: Although we learned more about the raises and extensions of the Kansas State assistant football coaches, nothing has yet to surface on head coach Chris Klieman. However, it is important to know that he will reap the rewards of a conference championship season as well. How much and when those details are dispersed are still unknown.
2. TYSON: A wing from the transfer portal could make sense for K-State after losing Keyontae Johnson. Could that mean the Wildcats pursue Jaylon Tyson? We’ll have our eyes peeled for it. It is relevant to remember that Tyson initially followed Chris Beard and Ulric Maligi from Texas Tech to Texas before ultimately ending up back in Lubbock.

1. ONE MORE: It is our expectation that one more Kansas State player will enter the transfer portal.
