Fast-rising 2025 LB Parker Meese lands Miami Hurricanes offer, sets visit as stock continues to climb
Frisco (TX) Parish Episcopal School 2025 linebacker Parker Meese has seen his stock skyrocket over the past few months as he’s taken unofficial visits to and landed offers from various programs — including Miami.
Meese, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound unranked linebacker, has more than two dozen offers already and was stoked to receive the offer from Hurricanes linebackers coach Derek Nicholson, who told Meese he loved his film, playing style and physicality. Meese already held high interest in Miami before he landed the offer, and he’s “very interested” now. He’ll visit Miami July 10.
“Being a linebacker, you always dream about getting an offer from Miami,” Meese said. “I was blown away that they offered me, and I’m very interested in the program and meeting all of the coaches in person.”
Miami’s history of linebackers like Ray Lewis and Jonathan Vilma made the Canes a no-brainer for Meese to consider, plus his family vacations in Florida every year. Nicholson is pitching Miami’s staff and facilities to Meese, and he believes the Canes are building the program “the right way with the right culture.” Nicholson told Meese the staff is looking for kids “who play smash-mouth football like me.”
Meese is high on the idea of playing for a school known for its great linebackers.
“From a linebacker-known school, it has always been between Penn State and Miami. If you play the linebacker position, those are the offers you hope for,” Meese said. “I can tell (Miami) will be one of the top schools on my list.
Arkansas, Texas A&M, Penn State and Ole Miss are the four leaders for Meese, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, and he said he is hearing the most from Texas A&M, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina and Penn State. He has already visited Tennessee, Michigan, Clemson, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas, Penn State and UNLV this spring.
CaneSport’s Take
Meese was left out of the initial On300 rankings for 2025 prospects, but his stock and attention from top Power Five programs has made him a name to know in next year’s recruiting cycle regardless. Expect him to continue to grow, and his frame suggests he’ll be able to add positive weight as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he adds a few more offers, and I fully expect to hear plenty about him on the recruiting trail this summer.
He’s still waiting on offers from Texas, Clemson and Oklahoma.
