In this episode, Justin and Bobby discuss:
Justin and Bobby begin with the Trill Carter pledge on Monday. The 6-foot-2, 310-pound All-Big Ten honorable mention defensive tackle chose the Horns over Ohio State, Illinois, and Arkansas. He took an official visit to Austin last week and left knowing Austin would be his future home. He adds depth at the defensive line and two years of eligibility. Justin and Bobby start on QB recruiting with Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair Trey Owens. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound signal-caller committed to Texas two months ago and turned from recruit to recruiter. Owens is the only quarterback take in the 2024 cycle, as Steve Sarkisian and the staff will now focus on the 2025 cycle and targets. Justin and Bobby jump to running back, with top targets Jerrick Gibson and Christian Clark. Texas has others on the board like Taylor Tatum and Kedren Young, but Gibson and Clark are the clear priorities. Gibson just visited Texas last weekend for the Spring game and hung with Owens after the scrimmage. Gibson has an official visit to Texas in Late June. Clark tripped to UT last month and will certainly return for an official trip, to be determined. Clark is the big-bodied type from Arizona who loved watching Bijan Robinson on the Forty Acres. Justin and Bobby hit the wide receivers, led by Micah Hudson, Bryant Wesco, and Parker Livingstone. Brownsboro’s Gekyle Baker is on the radar as well, but Hudson and Wesco appear to be the lead targets, with Livingstone important as well. Justin and Bobby finish with tight end and targets Colton Heinrich and Ryner Swanson. Heinrich is from Fort Lauderdale and holds double-digit offers. Swanson recently visited Austin and the California product is looking at scheduling an official visit to Austin in June.
