2024 3-star Georgia QB Judd Anderson commits to Miami, becomes Hurricanes’ first position commitment of cycleCoach’s take: What the Miami Hurricanes are getting in Judd Anderson Miami has landed its quarterback commit for 2024. What are the Hurricanes getting in 3-star Judd Anderson?

Growing up, Miami Hurricanes commit Judd Anderson had dreams of starring on the hardwood instead of the gridiron. With basketball being his first love, it wasn’t until his freshman year in high school that Anderson realized how far the game of football could take him.

“The first game I got in my ninth-grade year, I had this one touchdown pass, and I thought, ‘Hey, I’m actually pretty decent at this.’” Anderson said. “Just over that summer I was going to camps and QB coaches were looking at my height and telling me, ‘You have a chance, I know you don’t see it right now but you’ve got a chance’ I had no clue but it eventually developed into that.”

In our continuing series, Inside The Lines, CaneSport goes one-on-one with the Hurricanes commit as we discuss who Anderson is away from sports, why he chose the Hurricanes, his recruitment pitch to all prospects considering the Hurricanes, and more.

Following his first visit to Coral Gables recently, Anderson knew Miami was the place for him to be before stepping on campus.

“I kind of already had a feeling it was going to be (Miami) before going to see the school and everything,” Anderson said. “When I got there, I fell in love with the place, the coaches, the staff, just everything about it. I knew that was where I wanted to be, where my family wanted me to be, and where everything was going to happen. It’s beautiful; it’s paradise, and you can’t ask for anything better than that.”

Anderson has been highly vocal on social media since committing to Miami, encouraging some of the top prospects in the country and South Florida to join him and help build the Hurricanes 2024 recruiting class.

“Come to ‘The U’ man; that’s my main message,” Anderson exclaimed. “I want to win a national championship with the Hurricanes, and I want to go out and just lead that team to a national championship and put this team back on top. My goal right now is to get as many of those talented guys to come out and play at ‘The U’.

“Especially most of those guys are homegrown and South Florida guys. You’ve got to keep them home, and they want to come home. I want to see them be successful at Miami, and I’m pushing for them; the coaches are pushing for them; we all want them there.”
