Four-Star EDGE Jordan Ross Set for Oregon Visit
It should come as no surprise to Oregon fans that the coaches are placing a premium on recruiting edge rushers for 2024. The Ducks already have one 4-star committed at that position (Jaxson Jones) and offers out to several others.
One top target is 4-star Jordan Ross of Vestavia Hills High in Birmingham (Ala.). The On3 Industry Ranking places Ross as the nation’s No. 36 overall recruit and the No. 5 edge. And 247Sports likes the 6-foot-5, 215-pounder even more: No. 12 overall.
Ross recently updated ScoopDuck on the progress of his search for a college.
“I will be visiting Tennessee, Alabama and Oregon this spring,” he said. “I’ll be Oregon for the Spring Game.”
Thoughts on Eugene
“I think Oregon is a great place to be, and it’s a beautiful place.”
Oregon’s strengths
“How (Tosh Lupoi and Dan Lanning’s) relationship is with me and how much they contact me a lot. How much (Lanning) connects with me.”
On Oregon’s 2022 season
“I loved their aggressiveness on defense and their pass rush.”
College attributes
“I would have to say academic (excellence) and great relationship with teammates.”
Schools working hardest
“Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Auburn.”
Decision timeline?
“Probably before or after the season.”
Senior season goals
“To break my school records of sacks.”
