How to watch the Penn State Blue-White game; pregame info, kick time, more: Gameday Central
It’s Blue-White game day, Penn State fans! The Nittany Lions will hold their annual spring finale scrimmage at Beaver Stadium this afternoon. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET, and the game will return to its regular two-team format.
“I think there’s value in it,” head coach James Franklin said. “I also think that we’re one of the unusual schools where when 75,000 people show up to watch a spring game I would like to be able to give ’em a spring game. We’re one of the unique places; we’re going to have more people at our spring game than most people have for a regular game in the fall. So whenever we can create a spring game atmosphere, we want to do that for the fans.
“But, I also think there’s value for me in seeing the guys play under the lights and in front of the fans and with the media there and with everybody’s eyes on ’em and watching. Because some guys rise to that occasion, and some guys feel the pressure and anxiety from that. So figuring that out is, there’s value in that.”
Regardless of whether or not you’ll be in State College today, get ready for the Blue-White game below.

Notes to know if you’re going to the Blue-White game
Parking lots open at 8 a.m. However, lots 17, 18, 31 and 41 will be for pass holders only until Noon. Last year’s season parking pass holders will use the pass sent with last year’s booklet to enter any lot for free. Those without prepaid parking will be charged $20 to park. Cash or credit card is accepted. In-season traffic patterns are not in effect.
Beaver Stadium gates A, B, C and E will open at Noon to welcome fans inside the 107,000-seat venue. Admission is free. And, seating is first come, first serve.
Weather report
Some rain is in the forecast for Saturday. This is what Weather.com has to say:
“Light rain early…then remaining cloudy with thundershowers developing in the afternoon. High 69F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 70%.”
The National Weather Service, meanwhile, has this outlook for Saturday’s weather:
“A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Light southeast wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.”
