4-star OL William Satterwhite ready to consider Clemson after offer

Clemson has jumped head first into the recruitment of Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban four-star offensive lineman William Satterwhite.
The Tigers offered Satterwhite on his visit to Clemson on Wednesday. Satterwhite is the No. 212 overall prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking.
Satterwhite feels honored to add an offer from the Tigers.
“It means a lot to me,” Satterwhite said. “That’s a top school in the ACC and in the nation. They produce NFL talent often. So honored to receive an offer.”
Clemson’s winning ways sit at the top of things that intrigue Satterwhite with Clemson.
“It means a lot because a winning program is a successful program,” Satterwhite said. “They produce great players who know what it takes to win ACC championships.”
Satterwhite had the chance to meet Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and get a taste of the Tigers’ culture.
“The system they have set up to hold players accountable and the way Coach Dabo treats his players were outstanding,” Satterwhite said.
Satterwhite feels Clemson is a program of stability. There hasn’t been a ton of coaching movement in Swinney’s tenure at Clemson. Satterwhite is intrigued by the stability of the Tigers’ staff.
“I know the coaches are dedicated to the program and aren’t leaving,” Satterwhite said. “Most of the staff were players there so they value the program. They’re the best program in the ACC as of right now that’s what most people know them for.”
Academics are a strong selling with Clemson for Satterwhite.
“The academic part mattered the most and sitting down with the head Coach to ask him questions was important,” Satterwhite said.
Clemson coaches make an impression on William Satterwhite
Swinney left an impression on Satterwhite. Satterwhite felt Swinney brought a genuine approach to their conversation. The four-star offensive lineman has heard a lot about Swinney. Much of it was confirmed meeting him in person.
“He was great to meet in person very likable man very open and honest about how he recruits and how he has been changing the program,” Satterwhite said.
Satterwhite also had the opportunity to meet Clemson offensive line coach Thomas Austin. He and Austin immediately found common ground. Satterwhite took note of Austin’s coaching style and youthful demeanor.
“He’s a great guy as well coach,” Satterwhite said. ” Coach Austin is like an older brother but also like an uncle to his players and his hands-on coaching style, I really liked. He makes sure the little things are perfect before moving on.”
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Penn State as Satterwhite as his leader. Clemson could have a role in Satterwhite recruitment moving forward.
“I really enjoyed it so I wouldn’t be surprised when I figure out my list of schools they are in the top half for me,” Satterwhite said.
