Report: Oklahoma State’s John-Michael Wright to return for 2023-24 season
Oklahoma State guard John-Michael Wright is returning to the Cowboys and using his extra year of eligibility, he told CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. He just wrapped up his first season with the program after transferring from High Point.
Wright started all 36 games for Oklahoma State this past season, averaging 9.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. That was two years removed from his best season at High Point in which he averaged 20.7 points per game and pulled down 5.2 boards per contest.
One of Wright’s biggest moments of the season came Feb. 8 when he tipped in the game-winning shot to send Oklahoma State past Texas Tech. In that game, he had eight points and six rebounds in 23 minutes to lead the Cowboys to the victory.
