Brian Kelly praises Jayden Daniels via social media, reveals game ball honor

After LSU gutted out a road victory against Missouri on Saturday afternoon, the pick for the game ball was obvious: Quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Daniels dazzled, especially in the second half, leading his Tigers into a road game and taking home a win. He threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another 130 and a score as LSU won, 49-39.

And he did it with injured ribs. After saying Daniels had the “heart of a champion” following a the win, LSU head coach Brian Kelly shared on social media that he gave him the game ball.

“Jayden Daniels put it all out there for this team and earned the game ball,” Kelly said in the post.
