The highest-graded player overall, regardless of snap counts, is LaNorris Sellers. South Carolina’s freshman quarterback has a 95.2 overall grade in just 11 snaps. Two of his throws have gone for touchdowns and his only action so far has come in a blowout win over Furman.

The highest-graded contributor this season shouldn’t be a surprise. Xavier Legette is the team’s best regular offensively with a 79.9 overall grade through 274 snaps. That gets brought down by a PFF run block grade of 40.9, but the receiver has shown some serious ability as the team’s go-to option in the pass game.

Through five games he has a whopping 32 catches for 606 yards and three scores.

The quarterback throwing him the ball comes in next on the grading chart in Spencer Rattler, who sits at a 78.7 overall grade.

The Gamecocks’ veteran quarterback is off to a really good start to the year, completing 73 percent of his passes for 1,411 yards (8.7 yards per attempt) with seven scores and three interceptions.

Three players with under 25 snaps–Nick Elksnis (77 grade), Ben Rollins (74) and Djay Braswell (73.8)–check in after that with the next contributor Mario Anderson.

PFF gives Anderson a 73.8 overall grade this season over 109 snaps, a 78.1 grade in the run game but a 47.5 pass protection grade and a 60 run block grade.

Anderson is the Gamecocks’ leading rusher through five games with 230 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

A pair of receivers check in next with Eddie Lewis (68 snaps) and Payton Mangrum (18). PFF gives Lewis a 72.1 overall grade while Mangrum checks in with an overall grade of 69.
