GAINESVILLE, Fla. — It’s homecoming week for the Florida Gators as they prepare to host the Vanderbilt Commodores. Florida is looking to get back in the win column both this season and against Vanderbilt. The Gators dropped their second road game of the season last week in Lexington to the Kentucky Wildcats. They also are looking to get back at Vanderbilt following a loss to the Commodores in 2022.

Week 6 marks the 57th meeting between Florida and Vanderbilt including the 27th matchup in Gainesville.Florida wields a 43-11-2 series lead with wins in 30 of the last 32 meetings.Vanderbilt has not scored in The Swamp in its last two visits (combined 98-0). The Dores last scored in Gainesville in 2017.The Gators are 21-1 against the Commodores in Gainesville dating back to 1960 including an active-four game streak.Vanderbilt’s lone wins in Gainesville came in the first-ever meeting in 1945 (VU 7, UF 0) and in 2013 (VU 34, UF 17).Florida is 30-2 overall against Vanderbilt since 1989.
