Moore Recruiting

Moore has long been considered one of the best recruiters on Michigan’s staff and once again had a great showing on the trail this cycle.

While there were a couple of key misses, Moore put together a strong offensive line class featuring Top 200 prospects Blake Frazier and Andrew Sprague, four-star recruit Luke Hamilton and three-star prospects Ben Roebuck and Jake Guarnera.

“Coach Moore obviously knows what he’s talking about,” Frazier said. “As an offensive lineman, it’s really hard to shy away from a school that has gone back-to-back in creating the best offensive line in the country. As far as wanting to go to the NFL, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of places better than Michigan right now.”

Roebuck’s father, Dough, also had high praise for Moore this cycle.

“The first time we met Sherrone was on Ben’s first visit more than a year ago. They really connected. He’s very personable and relates well to the guys. He has a great attitude. He’s able to relate to the kids on a more personal level, which I think is important. His family was with him, and we got to see him be a dad. A lot of those things can relate to coaching young, teenage kids. They need that figure that’s able to relate to them, communicate with them, guide them and give them direction on and off the field.”

As the area recruiter in Chicagoland, Moore played a big role in Michigan reeling in four-star Chicago (Ill.) Kenwood wide receiver I’Marion Stewart. He was also heavily involved in the recruitment of Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis.

Michigan has 25 commits in its 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 4 in the Big Ten and No. 15 nationally, per the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings. The class is highlighted by Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis and Top 100 Rochester (Mich.) Adams tight end Brady Prieskorn.
