2025 4-star WR Marcus Harris on Colorado: “The game-day atmosphere was dope”

Colorado was buzzing last weekend when the Buffaloes hosted USC. The stands were filled with fans, the sidelines were loaded with celebrities and Deion Sanders had numerous top recruits in town.

One was Marcus Harris.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound wide receiver out of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei is the No. 43 prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He had visited Boulder before for a Junior Day, but this was his first game-day experience.

It made a strong impression.

“The game-day atmosphere was dope,” Harris told On3. “It felt like a championship game seeing the sideline packed with media, well-known athletes and celebrities. I know there’s always a lot of media at games, but I feel like once you make big plays like Omarion Miller did, your name will get out fast with that much media in attendance. I feel like Coach Prime has the city hyped.”

Harris loved Colorado’s fight. He saw the team start off slowly, but battle back in the second half and make the game tight at the end. The four-star playmaker is a believer and Colorado’s success is not a shock to Harris.

“Coach Prime is doing something real special. He’s changing the whole culture. I’m honestly not surprised how things are changing. I knew players would want to play for a legend.”

The atmosphere, the performance of the team, the breakout game by Miller and Shedeur Sanders‘ success in the air all caught Harris’ attention. The coaches did as well and the Buffaloes are now in the running for one of the best in 2025.

“This visit does put Colorado on my radar,” Harris added. “The coaching staff made a good impression on me. They let me know that I could come in early as a freshman and have a chance to play if I worked hard. I like how nothing is given there.”
