2027 Texas RB Landen Williams-Callis reacts to USC offer

If it’s been said once, it’s been said 1,000 times, but Kiel McDonald loves nothing more than Texas running backs. He landed two in the class of 2023, has one committed in 2024, has offered a few in 2025 and 2026, and now, he has finally offered one if the class of 2027. Richmond (Tex.) Randle running back Landen Williams-Callis reported a USC offer this weekend.

It is likely Williams-Callis will be a name lots of fans around the country will become familiar with as he is already a national recruit. And for good reason.

Six games into his freshman season so far, he has rushed the ball 85 times for 773 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

He is averaging 128.8 yards per game on the ground. He has also added four receptions for 112 receiving yards and another three touchdowns.

Williams-Callis’ Offer List

As a freshman, Williams-Callis already holds offers from USC, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Oregon, Baylor, SMU, TCU, Stanford, Penn State, Nebraska, Miami, Oregon State, UTSA, Texas State, UNLV, Grambling State, and Texas Southern.

So far, the only school the freshman has unofficially visited is Alabama.

Prior interest in USC

This new offer is something that Williams-Callis is thrilled to have. And after his conversation when getting the offer, he is a big fan of Kiel McDonald.

“It was great, I was very excited when coach [McDonald] told me I had the offer. I loved talking to coach [McDonald], he was just telling me how he’s going to keep in contact and how he runs things. I liked him!”

What makes it more interesting is his prior interest and support of USC even as a Texas kid.

“Oh for sure,” he said to him paying attention to USC in the past. “I have been the past two years there. I go to USC every year for the ‘Under The Radar camp.”
