Jay Higgins proud of Iowa defense

After the Iowa football team took a lead late in the quarter following a Cooper DeJean punt return for a score, Jay Higgins knew that the Hawkeyes would need to get stop to finish off the Spartans. They did just that on Saturday night at Kinnick Stadium, finishing strong with a forced fumble and an interception.

Following the win, Higgins discusses those big plays in the final minutes and the defense stepping forward in those moments, his thoughts when Cade McNamara went down, and why he was not surprised that Cooper DeJean made a big play in a big moment to lead Iowa to victory.
