SMU hosting another top group of prospects
SMU takes on Charlotte in the AAC opener, giving the Mustangs another opportunity to host top recruiting targets on Saturday. Here’s the rundown on some notable names to know that’ll be in attendance.
2024 SMU commits will be on hand with quarterback Tyler Aronson and offensive lineman Graham Uter flew in from out of town. Local commitments in attendance include linebackers Zach Smith and Brandon Booker. 2025 DeSoto (Tex.) wideout and SMU commit Daylon Singleton is also coming to campus.
Trinity Valley C.C. cornerback Chase Canada will be on hand. The former Richmond (Tex.) Foster defensive back added offers this fall from Utah State and Charlotte. He’ll have four years to play three.
2025 Arlington (Tex.) Mansfield Timberview safety Elijah Pratt, one of the state’s top prospects and an SMU target, is expected on campus as well. He has offers from Arizona, Houston, Texas Tech and others.
2025 Denton (Tex.) Ryan linebacker Dillon Arkansas is one of the big names locally that holds an SMU offer. Baylor, Duke, Missouri, TCU and others have also offered him. Another top linebacker nationally, 2025 Oxnard (Calif.) Pacifica linebacker Nick Lavizzo holds an SMU offer as well as scholarships from Charlotte and Florida Atlantic.
2025 Daphne (Ala.) Bayside Academy tight end and brother of Graham Uter, Miles Uter, is also along for the visit weekend.
2026 Prosper (Tex.) offensive lineman Zaden Krempin will be back on campus having already attended SMU’s matchup against Prairie View A&M. He already holds an offer from the Mustangs and numerous other programs.
