The Latest Recruiting Intel for Four-Star Wing Rakease Passmore

Rakease Passmore, On3’s No. 49 player in 2024, issued his top four on Thursday. Oklahoma, LSU, Kansas, and Arkansas each made the cut. Passmore has taken official visits to Oklahoma and LSU. He has upcoming dates set with Arkansas and Kansas.

Passmore’s intel

While it is hard to have a bad official visit, Rakease Passmore came away from Oklahoma and LSU with his eyes wide open. Sources say that coming off the visit, some in Passmore’s circle would like to see him at Oklahoma. Head coach Porter Moser was by Lincolnton (NC) Combine Academy earlier this weekend with an assistant to see Passmore.

Passmore visited LSU for the Arkansas football game. It was a night game in Baton Rouge, and intel suggests that the environment was very appealing to Passmore. He was able to see all that LSU had to offer him and hear what LSU’s plan was for him in their program. Intel suggests that coming out of that visit, LSU was toward (if not at) the top of the list for Passmore.

Arkansas is been a program that has carried momentum through the process. Head coach Eric Musselman was at Lincolnton (NC) Combine Academy last week, and assistant coach Keith Smart was back by this weekend. Passmore has a date to Fayetteville on the schedule for around October 6. They will have the opportunity to answer any questions Passmore and his group might have about Passmore’s role in the program. And that brings us to Kansas…

The Jayhawks are the new school in the mix. Bill Self was on campus today to nail down an official visit with Passmore. Sources say that Self left the school very impressed, letting it be known that Passmore is at the top of their list. Ochai Agbaji was the name I heard being thrown out there.

While Arkansas carried the momentum early, this one has become a little more open than originally anticipated. LSU head coach Matt McMahon will be at Combine Academy this week. Intel suggests it would be best for their case to lock things up before Passmore is able to take the Arkansas and Kansas visits. While Oklahoma does have support within the circle, history shows that Eric Musselman and Bill Self are two of the best closers on the recruiting trail.
